Art is its own form of communication. It can convey emotions, events, characters, symbols, and much more. Sometimes when someone can’t communicate at all they’re able to speak through the miracle that is art.

In March of 2003, at the age of 50, Sarah’s world suddenly, without warning, irrevocably changed. She was in her final semester of nursing school, a career which was a lifelong dream. Suddenly, she began suffering from severe and debilitating headaches along with neck pain. Sarah was rushed to the hospital. There, a CAT scan revealed a cerebral aneurism requiring emergency surgery.
